Si Café was built on the site of the former Golf Hotel, on Kilwinning Road, Irvine. The old hotel was demolished and the site cleared for development.

The new building is a two storey structure providing a modern restaurant and bar on the ground floor and a generous function room and bar on the top floor

Si Café integrates well within the surrounding urban context while bringing an invigorating modern contribution to the existing architectural street composition and creating a dialogue with the new Police Station situated across the street.

The glazed curtain walls to the West bring a bright and light atmosphere to all the public areas and allow for direct access to the landscaped gardens and the beer garden. The glazing is shaded by a light timber canopy which follows the line of the West elevation.
